Seaways' Ships in Scale Magazine

...The Information Seaway

The Information Seaway is the home port for Seaways' Ships in Scale magazine, the leading workshop and research magazine for the ship modeler. It is also Seaways Publishing's cyberspace center for our ship modeling education and information system. In both the magazine and on the Web, we explore all levels of modeling experience, all types of ships, all kinds of models, all historical eras and all construction materials.

We have expanded the Seaways educational system here to include the Internet and the Web's only integrated communications center devoted to ship modeling and nautical research. The center is made up of a very active and informative e-mail list, complete with searchable archives, and an online chat room. On the List, one can communicate with hundreds of other ship modelers and interact with many of the authors of the Ships in Scale articles and many international modeling and research experts. We provide links to many commercial sources for the kits and supplies, plans, tools and books you need to carry out your projects.

We also have the Web's most complete and useful linked research center for ship modeling and nautical research. We link you directly to our FAQ's to start off your research efforts. We connect you to the museums, galleries, model clubs and organizations needed to continue your quest.

Finally, if you're an accomplished modeler, a good writer and a competent photographer, perhaps you'd like to be one of our (paid!) authors. If so, please read over our Writer's Guidelines and then get in touch with the Editor. We'd be pleased to hear from you.
